What happened?

Hello all (I actually do not know who I am talking to when I say that)!

I have not forgotten about this dear fitness blog of mine. How crazy was I to start this blog at the time of my life that I am most busy?! Anyway, all the times I have went to the gym and all the times I have picked up a morsel of food to eat, I have thought about posting it on this blog. It was not until I realized that I do not need to document absolutely everything, just the improvements, lessons learned, recipes and newly found healthy food, and workouts. I do not need to be showing when I eat an orange, or a piece of bread, har har.

The reason I have not posted anything for two weeks is because I was, and still am, warming up to this new lifestyle. I have been going to the gym and I have been trying my hardest to eat healthy, and it is all just sinking in and pushing to be more natural.

Also, I ran three miles the other day and I completely blew out my bad ankle (I broke all three bones in my ankle a couple of years ago, so it acts up every so often) which kind of limits what kind of workouts I do and how active I am. BUT, it does not stop me. I still run as much as I can, until my ankles gives out, and I still work on all the other areas of my body that do not include my lower portions.

Another things I have been trying to do is limit my snacking. I have to pat myself on the back for cutting back on devouring everything I see, but I do admit that every so often I spoil myself with junk. I have also been eating at home more, but I still eat out and order things that make me feel like garbage.

I am improving! I know by the end of this month, I will get myself together and start to lean more towards a healthier lifestyle. I am already looking forward to purchasing a bunch of new goodies to motivate me that the healthy lifestyle can be fun too!

TO BUY:

1. Either the Nike Feul Band of the Bodybugg Link.
2. A new pair of running shoes that are NOT Free Runs. Leaning towards Lunar Glides.
3. More face towels (I do not like sweat dripping from my head).
4. More leggings and sports bras.
5. Contact lenses (running with glasses is such a pain).

Introductions

Happy 2013 everyone!

Like a majority of the masses out there, one of my main resolutions is to be healthy through a hearty diet and daily exercise.

On this blog, I will share the kinds of exercises I do on a daily basis and the kind of meals I eat and snack on. Hopefully documenting all of this will personally help me physically become the person I want to be.

I do not care much for weight loss, but I want to be in shape, strong, and toned. I need to stop taking naps and laying around surfing the internet. I need to become more physically active.

Everyone has their reasons as to why they want to lose weight. My reason, is to live longer. I have to admit, I have not been the most healthiest person in the year of 2012. For a while, I even thought I had a mental disorder where eating at all times of the day solved all problems. I then realized, that I was just bored and lazy. I always had too much time in my hands which resulted in endless snacks and the dire need to fulfill my hunger with quick meals (fast food, microwaveable food).

This year, I really had to reach into my mind and teach myself how to be more productive with my food and health. I will start using that boredom and replacing it with exercise, and I will stop being lazy and actually take the time to make home cooked meals rather than settling for processed take out.

This will also teach me how to eat at home more, which will also teach my how to save my money. It is a win win for everything!

So, hopefully this blog will motivated other people to live a healthier lifestyle, and I pray that I will follow through with this blog until 2014. I will, I swear to myself that I will.

Baby steps.

Set yourself up for success, not failure.

XOXO,
-Alyssa.
